I got my first camera when I was 7 years old. Ever since, I was hooked. I would buy rolls of film with the money I made from doing chores on our small farm, and blow through them in a day. I’d walk around taking pictures of our cats, dogs, cows, goats, and chickens. Thankfully, my abilities as a photographer have changed quite a bit since then, but my passion for it has not. I love being able to express myself through a captured moment in time. I feel like photography gives us an opportunity to express the true nature of ourselves, a nature that we're often forced to stifle. Through photography, our love, beauty, strength, and passions can be on full display. And for one brief moment, we can reveal the true nature of our "Self".

“It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart, and head.”
